TIL my old photo app's 'auto fix' was just making things worse
About six months ago, I was using this basic photo editor on my phone to fix a picture of my dog. The 'auto fix' button would just crank up the color and make everything look weird and fake. I tried it again yesterday with the same picture using a new AI photo tool I found online. It actually fixed the lighting, made the colors look real, and even cleaned up the blurry spots without me asking. The change from a useless button to something that actually understands the photo is crazy. Has anyone else found a tool that actually gets what you want it to do?

Honestly that "useless button" was probably just doing what most people actually wanted back then. Tbh cranking up the color made photos pop on old phone screens, which is what everyone was after. Ngl these new AI tools often overthink it and make things look fake in a different way, too clean and weird. Sometimes a simple button that just boosts stuff is better than a robot guessing what you want.

Exactly, sometimes you just want the dumb boost button.
