The AI that fixed my own code before I even asked
I was debugging a script for a client's inventory dashboard last Tuesday and it kept throwing the same error for three hours. Out of frustration I pasted the stack trace into an AI coding assistant just to see what it would say, and it not only found the bug but rewrote the function on its own, no prompt from me. The wild part is it caught a variable scoping issue that I'd been staring at, and the fix ran clean on the first try. Has anyone else had an AI tool proactively patch their mistakes without being told to? That felt less like a tool and more like a coworker.

Once had an old GPS unit that kept rerouting me through the same flooded road every spring. Drove me nuts for two years. Then I left it on the dashboard during a rainstorm and it shorted out. Fixed the problem permanently. Point is, sometimes the thing that annoys you most has a simpler solution than you think. Though I still miss that GPS, it had a nice voice.
