That time my AI writing assistant fixed my chat with my boss

Honestly, I was stressing over an email to my boss about a missed deadline last Tuesday. I typed in my messy draft and the AI rewrote it into something way more professional. Has anyone else used AI to smooth over a work text and had it actually work out?.

Three weeks ago I had this whole thing where my writing assistant turned a panicked text about forgetting a client meeting into something that actually sounded like I had a plan the whole time. It basically said something like "I've rescheduled the meeting and here's what I've prepped for our discussion" when really I was just scrambling to fix my mistake. My boss never even knew I forgot, he just said "good catch on getting that rescheduled" and that was it.

Yeah, you mentioned it "rewrote it into something way more professional" and honestly that's been my experience too. I had this one time where I sent a super casual text to my boss saying something like "hey sorry i messed up the report lol" and the AI changed it to "I wanted to acknowledge the error in the report and have corrected it effective immediately." My boss actually replied saying he appreciated the professionalism and we moved on really quick. It's funny cause I used to think these tools were just for like writing essays or poems but they're actually really good at catching the tone you need for work stuff. The key is you still have to read it over and make sure it sounds like you still, you know?
