Switched from midjourney to stable diffusion for my art workflow
I spent months using Midjourney for my digital paintings since it was so easy, but last week I tried Stable Diffusion with ControlNet on my RTX 3060 and the difference in control was massive. Being able to pose the subject exactly how I wanted with a simple stick figure changed my whole process and saved me 3 hours of redo work on a single piece. Has anyone else made the jump and found a good model for fantasy landscapes they'd recommend?

Totally feel you on that, the control is a game changer once you get past the learning curve. I'd check out DreamShaper for fantasy landscapes, it handles the vibe really well.

That detail about saving 3 hours of redo work is what really caught my eye. How much of your original process was just fighting with Midjourney to get close to what you actually wanted versus actually making art? I messed with those tools for a bit and it felt like half my time was typing and deleting prompts trying to trick the thing into understanding a simple pose. The stick figure approach sounds painfully obvious now that I hear it. Did you have to rebuild your whole workflow from scratch or did you just swap the generation step out and keep everything else the same?
