Overheard my teenager explaining AI art to her grandpa and it hit me different

My dad was visiting last weekend and my 14 year old was showing him how she uses Midjourney to make album covers for her music projects. He asked her if she was 'the artist' or if the computer was. She said 'I'm the director, grandpa. The AI is the cinematographer.' I just stood there in the kitchen with my coffee. That's actually a perfect way to put it. We went from debating if digital art counts to now people arguing over prompt engineering. Makes me wonder what my own grandpa would have thought about all this. Has anyone else had a moment where a younger person just casually framed this whole AI thing in a way that made you rethink it?

Seems like skipping the actual craft part though.
