One user's feedback flipped how I structure my AI prompt chains
I was building multi-step AI workflows for a local shop in Austin and kept getting messy outputs. A guy in a Discord group told me my prompts were too passive, said to treat each step like a separate conversation instead of one huge block. I rewrote everything into smaller, role-specific prompts with clear stop points. Now I test each stage alone before chaining them, and my error rate dropped from about 30 percent down to 8 percent in two weeks. Has anyone else had success splitting tasks into micro-prompts rather than one long instruction set?
