My local cafe's chatbot finally got good after 6 months of tweaks

This small shop near me in Portland started using an AI chatbot for orders back in March, and it was terrible at first. It kept mixing up drink sizes and couldn't handle custom milk requests at all. I talked to the owner last week and he said they retrained it on 500 of their actual order transcripts, and now it gets my oat milk latte order right every single time. Has anyone else seen a specific service bot improve that fast after feeding it real customer data?

Yeah that makes sense since real order transcripts would have all the weird edge cases people actually use, like the time I asked for "extra hot but not too hot" and somehow expected the machine to figure that out.

Lmao that's the kind of logic that only makes sense at 2am.
