My AI voice assistant ordered 40 pounds of birdseed by accident

Last Friday I was testing a new voice-to-text plugin for a client and it picked up my neighbor's parrot squawking through the open window. Before I could stop it, the system placed a $214 order for sunflower seeds to a warehouse in Akron. The confirmation email made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my coffee. I spent the whole afternoon canceling the purchase and explaining to my wife why we almost became bird food wholesalers. Has anyone else had an AI tool go rogue from background noise, or is my apartment just cursed?

Saw a similar story on Reddit last week where someone's smart speaker ordered 12 pizzas because the TV was playing a cooking show. It seems like these voice systems just grab the first words they hear and run with them. At least you caught it before the birdseed showed up on your doorstep, small victories right?
