Just realized my old way of writing patient notes was wasting so much time

I used to type everything out manually after my night shifts, which could take an hour. A colleague in Seattle mentioned using a dictation tool powered by OpenAI's Whisper model about six months ago. Now I just speak my notes, and it transcribes them in minutes, with solid accuracy even when I'm tired. Has anyone else tried similar AI tools for documentation in a clinical setting?

Honestly thought those voice to text things were just gimmicks until my buddy showed me how he uses one for his reports. Total game changer for getting things done fast. What tool are you using?

Tried one once and it turned "send the report to accounting" into "send the report to clown town". Had to explain that to my boss. Still use it though because talking is way faster than typing, even if it makes me sound like a confused robot half the time. My phone's basic voice notes app does the trick for now, mostly because I'm too lazy to learn a new one.
