I finally see why people use AI for drafting emails after my niece showed me
I always thought writing your own emails was just part of being professional, you know? But my niece, she's 22 and works in marketing, spent 10 minutes last weekend showing me how she uses an AI tool to draft client messages. She said it takes the edge off and lets her focus on the actual relationship part instead of staring at a blank screen. I tried it on a tricky quote I had to send to a homeowner, and it took me maybe 3 minutes instead of 20. Has anyone else found a specific situation where AI actually saved you time instead of just being a gimmick?

Right there with you on the tricky quote thing. Helped me stop overthinking a repair estimate reply.

Used it last week for a follow up email after a home inspection. The buyer was nervous and I kept typing the wrong thing. Plugged in the key points and the AI spit out a calm good version. I just tweaked a sentence about the timeline and sent it right away. Saved me from that awkward back and forth where I usually overexplain stuff.
