ChatGPT vs Claude for my novel outline
I spent last weekend trying to get ChatGPT to help me outline a scifi novel and it kept giving me these super generic hero's journey beats. Switched to Claude and it actually asked me about my world's physics and technology limits before suggesting plot points. The difference was night and day. ChatGPT gave me 12 cliche chapters in 3 minutes while Claude took 20 minutes but produced 8 unique conflicts I hadn't even thought of. Has anyone else found one AI way better for creative writing vs business stuff?

Eight unique conflicts in 20 minutes sounds solid, but what kind of questions did Claude ask you specifically? I'm curious if it pushed you on stuff like how your FTL drive works or what your aliens actually need to survive, or if it was more vague worldbuilding stuff.

I actually saw someone on Reddit break down how Claude pushed them on their alien biology - like what their atmosphere actually does to their bodies, not just "they breathe methane" or whatever. It asked things like "how does that impact their social behavior when they get sick" which forced them to think way deeper.
