AI transcription still chokes on my accent after 3 years, what gives?

I work in a call center in El Paso and we started using an AI note taker last spring. It keeps writing 'y'all' as 'yowl' and turns 'la tienda' into 'the tendon' every single time. I asked our vendor about it and they said the model was trained mostly on Midwest speech patterns. That seems like a huge blind spot for a product aimed at customer service. Has anyone else gotten stuck with accent issues in their AI tools, and did you find a workaround or a different setup?
