A buddy who runs a design shop told me to stop typing prompts and just feed AI examples instead
Last week my buddy Dave, who runs a small design shop in Boise, told me to quit writing long prompts and just paste in a few samples of what I want instead. I was trying to get an AI tool to write project quotes for my landscaping bids, and my prompts were getting me garbage for 3 weeks straight. He had me drop in 4 old quotes I liked and ask for something in that style, and the very first try came back usable. The difference was wild, since the AI seemed to copy the tone and layout way better than any description I could type out. Has anyone else found that showing examples beats explaining what you want?
