That YouTube tutorial had me torching my own brake lines

Same thing happened to me with a plumbing tutorial. Flooded my kitchen.

Why does nobody talk about air fryer liners...

Heard the liners can block airflow a bit but mine got crispier somehow.

PSA: I tested a $50 ground-penetrating radar app on my backyard in Tucson and found a forgotten cistern from the 1920s

My buddy Steve tried those apps out on his grandpa's old farm upstate. He spent like three weekends digging up rusted tractor parts and a bunch of old beer cans from the 70s. The only cool thing he found was a half-buried horseshoe, and even that was just bent to hell.

My buddy in IT told me I was chasing the wrong skills

That phrase "the core logic behind it" really stuck with me. I remember back in the day when I was trying to learn a bunch of different photo editing programs. I kept jumping from one to the next thinking the new one would finally make my work look professional. Then I ended up wasting months on a program that got abandoned by the company. All that time memorizing menus and shortcuts gone. Now I just focus on the basic stuff like color theory and composition, things that never change. It feels way less stressful honestly, like I'm not constantly trying to keep up with some new trend.

County records show 3 code inspectors left in 4 months - that explains a lot

Oh man you nailed it. I used to work in a county office that had four people total and when two left in three months we were drowning. They just kept piling on the work like we could magically absorb it all. Morale went straight down the toilet because you're busting your butt every day and still falling behind on complaints. It's like management doesn't get that you can't just stretch a tiny team to cover a whole county without burning everybody out.
