Garlic press lemon fiasco convinced me single-use tools are better

So I saw this video online saying you could use a garlic press to juice lemons. Tried it last week, and lemon pulp shot everywhere, even on the ceiling. Had to clean sticky juice off my light fixtures, which as an electrician, I know is a bad idea. Now I think people waste money on gadgets that claim to do everything but just make messes. My mom swears by her fancy blender, but I've seen it leak smoothie all over the counter. Maybe sticking to simple tools isn't so dumb after all.

Lemon pulp on the ceiling... that's not a kitchen fail, that's modern art. The real time saver is the hour you spend cleaning sticky juice off your light fixtures. Those all-in-one tools are just built to create new problems so they can sell you another gadget to solve them. My uncle's avocado slicer somehow made more dishes than just using a knife.

Recall how every infomercial promises to fix a problem we never knew we had. Those avocado slicers and lemon juicers just add steps and dirty dishes. Do you believe there's a secret plan among kitchen gadget makers to keep us busy cleaning up messes? I've started avoiding any tool that can't be washed in under thirty seconds. What's the one gadget you regret buying the most?
