Caught between a roadside LCD TV and a busted weight bench, I grabbed the wrong one
Last Tuesday I saw two hauls on the same curb in Akron, a 42 inch Samsung with a cracked corner and a rusty Bowflex bench with a torn pad. I only had room in my trunk for one, and I picked the TV thinking I could fix the panel cheap. Turns out replacement screens cost more than a new set, so that went right back out. The bench got picked up by a scrapper within an hour, and I keep wondering if I should have grabbed it just for the frame. Has anyone else made a curb call that you regretted before you even got it home?
