Swapped my ATX build for a 2007 Dell OptiPlex and I'm not mad
I was set on rebuilding my old gaming tower with a new motherboard, but shipping costs for a used LGA775 board in Phoenix were like $45 each. Then my buddy pointed out that a refurb OptiPlex 755 with a Core 2 Quad runs quieter and takes standard DDR2 I already had. Now it runs Ubuntu 22.04 as my daily web machine and I honestly don't miss the RGB. Has anyone else gone full sleeper PC after getting burned on part prices?
