Okay, so I was super excited to check out that new sci-fi movie everyone's talking about, but then I read this critic's take calling it boring and pointless. I almost passed on it, but my cousin made me go with her. Surprise, I ended up loving the whole thing! That got me curious about why some reviews seem so off base for me. I looked back at that critic's other write-ups and saw they often dump on movies for being too weird or not having enough plot. Since I'm all about weird sci-fi, our tastes just don't match up. Now, I glance at reviews to see if they complain about things I actually enjoy, like strange visuals or open endings. What's your move when a critic pans a film you're into?
