My awkward run-in with a harsh movie critic at a screening
I was at a screening and heard a critic tearing apart a movie I loved! I spoke up to defend it, but some say that's rude while others think it's fair game. Do you side with speaking your mind or respecting the critic's space?

Have you ever been so into a movie you just had to jump in? I once tried to defend a film so silly I'm now embarrassed by it. Critics put their opinions out there, so talking back is fair if you keep it polite. But there's a big difference between sharing your view and stepping on their job. If you love the movie, say why, but be ready for a talk that might not go your way. Just don't turn a screening into your own personal debate stage.

Critics have a job, but fans can point out things they overlook. Take 'Shawshank Redemption' for example. It got mixed reviews at first, but audience love made it a classic. When people explain why a film matters to them, it adds to the conversation. Polite pushback can highlight different ways to see art. It's not about debates, but sharing what connects us to movies.
