Vent: my flyer printing run got wrecked by rain right after I put them up
My older beagle mix got out last Tuesday when the gate latch slipped, and I spent the whole afternoon making 60 bright orange flyers with her photo and my cell number. I hung them on every pole and bulletin board within a mile of my place near the Rosewood park, staples and tape and all. Then that evening a surprise storm rolled in, and by morning most of the flyers were soggy, faded, or blown into the gutter. I had to reprint another 40 and this time I stuck them inside clear plastic sleeves, which actually worked better. She did come back two days later, thank goodness, a neighbor spotted her under their porch. But I'm wondering, how do you all protect your lost pet posters from weather or critters without looking crazy? Has anyone tried those yard sign stakes or laminated cards instead of paper?
