That lady who fed my missing cat for 2 weeks before I even knew he was gone
Last summer my indoor cat slipped out during a move near Riverside. I put up 20 flyers and walked the block every night for 3 days, no luck. Then I got a call from an older woman 4 streets over who said she'd been putting food out for a scared tabby she assumed was a stray. She had photos of him eating on her porch every evening, same time, since the day I moved in. It was weirdly comforting showing up to her house and seeing him trot right over like it was his second home. Has anyone else had a neighbor unknowingly host their pet for a while, and how did you handle the awkward thank you moment?
