Last month I got a flyer from some company promising lush green turf in 2 weeks. I was already annoyed at my patchy front yard cause the HOA sent me a warning. Dropped $200 on their special fertilizer and weed killer combo. Three days later my grass turned yellow then brown, like crispy fried. Turns out they used way too much nitrogen and it burned everything. My neighbor Carl watched the whole thing from his porch and just laughed, said I should've borrowed his mower clippings instead. Now I'm stuck with a dirt patch for at least 6 weeks and another HOA letter coming. Has anyone else gotten scammed by those door to door lawn care guys, or am I the only sucker here?
