I keep seeing safety harnesses get skipped for high work, and it's a real moral gut punch.
Honestly, watching guys risk their lives to save five minutes makes me sick.

Look, sometimes those harness rules just don't match the real job. Getting tied off can slow a crew down for a whole shift, and that costs real money (and jobs). A lot of these guys have been doing this work for years and trust their own balance more than some clunky strap system. The rules are written for worst-case scenarios, but day-to-day, that feels like overkill. You gotta understand the pressure to just get the task done fast and move on.

Linda626 makes a point about speed, but skipping harnesses is how people get killed (seen it happen). That 'clunky strap system' saves lives when balance fails, even for experienced guys. A fall from height doesn't care about your years on the job, and the cost is way more than lost time. I've heard stories of guys who thought they were fine until one slip changed everything.
