Always hated opening acts, but last night's opener stole the show.

That "stole the show" line is what got me. Ever think about it from the headliner's side? Must be a weird feeling to watch some hungry new band completely drain the room's energy before you even hit the stage. Kind of a backhanded compliment for them. Makes you wonder which big names secretly dread having a killer opener. Glad it changed your mind, though.
