Thinking about the Strasbourg dancing plague always makes me chuckle at how confused everyone must have been.

It's wild to imagine hundreds of people just dancing non-stop without knowing why.

Chuckle is the wrong word. It was a public health disaster. People danced until their feet bled or they dropped dead. Saying it's funny ignores how scary it was for them. They likely saw it as a curse or divine punishment, not a silly mystery. Modern theories like poisoned grain show it was a real tragedy.

But honestly, looking back, it is kinda funny. People dancing until they drop? Sounds like a bad movie. We can laugh at how weird it was without making light of their pain. It's history, not a current crisis. Helps us remember it better if we don't take everything too serious.
