I finally checked out the Moai on Easter Island, and I'm so annoyed by the mixed signals

Man, I saved for ages to see those giant heads in person. Got there, and every tour guide had a different take on how they were moved. Some said they walked them, others said they used logs, and one even joked about space help. The info signs at the site were no better, each one pointing to a new theory. I took pics and videos, but now looking back, I just have more questions than before. It's frustrating when you travel halfway across the world and still can't get a straight answer. Ended up spending my nights in the hotel googling old research papers. Seriously, it's like the biggest history troll job ever.

Those guides will argue about the walking theory for hours.

I saw two guides debate proper stride length for 45 minutes once. They get so deep into the details, you'd think they were solving world peace.
