That mindset falls apart fast in my old office job. We had a guy whose constant grumbling didn't protect anyone, it just made the whole team scared to suggest anything new. Treating his bad mood as some kind of early warning system just meant good ideas got shot down before they were even fully shared. It created a culture where avoiding his frown was more important than doing good work. You end up walking on eggshells, not building anything safe.
