Showerthought: People keep calling every weird coincidence a 'glitch' and it's getting old

I keep seeing posts where someone's keys were just under a pile of mail, or they saw a car with the same color as theirs, and they call it a matrix glitch. That's just normal life being forgetful or common, not a reality bug. A real glitch is something like when my friend and I both had the exact same, super specific dream about a red bicycle with a bent wheel in Chicago last Tuesday. Anyone else notice this or have a truly unexplainable one?

Agree completely, the bar for a glitch is on the floor. People just want to feel special about normal stuff. Your dream story is the kind of weird that actually makes you pause your scrolling.

Last year I woke up convinced my cat could talk, and I had a full conversation with him about the weather before I snapped out of it. That's the sort of weird dream that makes you question reality for a minute. Most "glitches" people post are just them forgetting where they put their keys. The bar is SO low now it's basically underground.
