My car keys were in my fridge for three days straight

I put my keys on the kitchen counter Tuesday morning before making a sandwich, and I haven't moved them since. When I finally found them Thursday night, they were sitting on the middle shelf next to the milk carton, cold to the touch. Has anyone else had an object just appear somewhere it absolutely should not be?

My wallet ended up in the freezer once. I must have set it down while putting away groceries. Now I have a small bowl by the front door and I make a huge point of dropping my keys in it the second I walk inside. It took a few weeks to build the habit, but it fixed the problem completely.

Oh man, the freezer is a new one! Did you find it right away, or was it a panic search later when you needed your cards? I'm impressed the bowl habit stuck so fast. I tried something similar but kept walking past it for ages.
