My car keys have been in the same bowl for a decade, but last Tuesday they weren't there.

I always put them in the blue ceramic bowl on the entry table as soon as I walk in. Last Tuesday, they were just gone. I checked my pockets, my bag, my car, everywhere. I found them three hours later, sitting on top of the microwave, which I never use. I have no memory of putting them there. Has anyone else had an object just appear in a place that makes zero sense?

Oh man, that's a nice way of putting it. My mind is basically a browser with like fifty tabs open and they're all playing different videos. So yeah, a different thought is pretty much guaranteed. It's a miracle I remember to walk in at all.
