I keep seeing posts about the Mandela Effect that are just bad memory, not a glitch.
My friend in Denver swore the Monopoly man had a monocle, but after we checked three different game boxes from 1990 to now, he never did, which proves these 'glitches' are often just our brains filling in gaps with what seems right.

The Monopoly man is a perfect example. People just mix him up with Mr. Peanut or some old-timey rich guy cartoon. Our brains are weird like that, always doing a quick photoshop job on our memories.

What if it's not just mixing up characters, but our brains filling in gaps with stuff from the same "vibe"? Like @the_nathan said, they're all old-timey rich mascots. Our memory grabs the overall feeling of "top hat and cane guy" and just plugs in the wrong name. It's less like a photoshop mistake and more like our brain using a generic stock image when the real file is missing.
