Reading a study on glass breakage patterns and the stats on tempered vs. annealed were wild.
Found it in a trade journal, said tempered glass can have over 10,000 psi surface compression. Anyone work with data like that for safety estimates?

Heard tempered glass can basically explode into a million tiny cubes when it fails.

I used to doubt that until my shower door did exactly that last week.
