Pro tip: double check your glass order before you cut it
I was in a rush last Tuesday and cut a whole pane of 1/4 inch clear for a bathroom window. Measured it at 24 by 36 inches, no problem. After I finished the edge work, I realized the order slip actually called for 24 by 30 inches for a different job. Wasted about $45 worth of material and an hour of my time. Anyone else have a system to stop this kind of mix-up?

Man that's a real gut punch, sorry to hear it. Wasting both time and material is the worst kind of mistake. I started keeping a bright red marker right by the glass rack to circle the key measurements on the order slip before I even touch a sheet. What's the one thing that almost always works for you?

Redundancy saves me from my own dumb moments.
