Hot take: The way some guys handle tempered glass on site is asking for trouble

Honestly, I keep seeing crews just lean large pieces of tempered against a wall or truck without any real support at the base. Saw a job last week where a 4x8 sheet was just propped on its edge on gravel. Tempered is strong in the middle but the edges are its weak spot, and any little bump or shift can cause a spontaneous break. It's not like regular annealed where you get some warning. I've had to clean up two of these surprise breaks in the last month alone. How do you all secure your tempered stock on site before install?

Ugh tell me about it lol. Watched a guy last month just chuck a sheet in the back of his pickup with no straps or anything. It was in pieces before he even left the lot.

Chuck it in his pickup?" That's just asking for glass confetti.
