Can we talk about using a 2-inch putty knife for glazing compound instead of a 6-inch?

Honestly, I was on a big commercial job in Tampa last month and saw a guy using a small knife for perfect, fast beads, and it made me realize my whole 'bigger tool, faster work' logic was wrong, so what's your take: small knife for control or big knife for speed?

Seriously, go small. I switched to a 2-inch for trim work and the control is insane. You're not actually slower, you just make fewer mistakes.

But is the difference really that big? I've used both sizes and the speed feels about the same. The tiny one just makes my hand cramp up faster.
