Been cutting my own glass for years and just found out my bevels were off

I was helping my buddy on a job in Tacoma and he asked why my cuts always had that tiny lip on the edge. I mean, I've been using the same old cutter and just going by feel for like 8 years. Do you guys actually measure your bevel angle with a gauge or something?

Yeah, that "same feeling" is spot on. It's crazy how a tiny habit you don't even think about can get baked in over time. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Ever try to sharpen a chisel freehand? Same feeling when you realize you've been off for years.
