Appreciation post: My wife, who's a nurse, asked me why we don't wear cut-resistant sleeves for every single glass handling job after I got a nasty gash last week.

She said, 'You wear gloves for blood, I wear sleeves for needles, seems like the same thing,' and that simple comparison from outside the trade made me feel like a stubborn idiot for thinking it was just for the big, scary pieces.

My husband said the same thing after I needed stitches from a picture frame. I've worn Kevlar sleeves for every single pane since that day.
