Did you try saying a little prayer before you turned the kiln on, @sarahs27? I swear my last successful cycle was pure luck, because I spent the whole time holding my breath and hoping I hadn't messed something up again. Your comment about it being a wild guess is about right, I'm pretty sure I just stared at the controller and picked numbers that felt good that day. Glass is so stubborn, sometimes it just does what it wants no matter how careful you are.

Wait, you got glass to stay whole in a kiln? That stuff is so finicky and usually cracks. Getting the cycle right must have been a wild guess, lol.

A slower cool down after annealing worked for me, @sarahs27, after lots of failed guesses.
