I finally get why old quarries matter for the environment
I always saw them as wasted land, but a tour of a reclaimed site showed how they support local ecosystems. It's cool how geology can bounce back with a little help.

What's the most surprising way you saw the ecosystem recover? Always figured they stayed barren pits, but that bounce-back idea is new to me. Makes you rethink other industrial sites too.
