Everyone says the new Kindle Paperwhite is better, but my old Kobo Clara HD still wins

I got the Paperwhite for my birthday and used it for a month, but the screen just feels too cold and blue compared to the warm light on my Clara. The Kobo's smaller size is way easier to hold with one hand during my commute on the Chicago L. Why do people act like newer always means better? Has anyone else gone back to an older gadget after trying the 'upgrade'?

What about the waterproofing though? I'd trade a slightly cooler screen for not worrying about my book by the pool...

Remember that time my cousin dropped his fancy phone in a hot tub trying to get a cool picture? @harris.emma, your pool book worry is totally valid. He spent the next week using a phone wrapped in a ziplock bag, which was not a good look. Honestly, some tech just isn't built for fun, and it makes you miss simple stuff. I'd take a boring old paperback by the water any day.
