Heads up on that 'fast-dry' polyurethane from the big box store in Springfield

I've seen three jobs this month where folks used it over an oil-based stain without letting the stain cure for the full 72 hours, and now they're dealing with a sticky, uncured mess that needs a full strip and redo.

Oh man, that stuff is no joke. I feel for those folks, been in a similar boat myself rushing a stain job. Totally get what iris565 means about learning the hard way, my own garage floor was a sticky monument to impatience for a solid month. That fast-dry label can really trick you into thinking it's okay to cut corners. Now I just treat any can of poly with deep suspicion and give it way more time than it says.
