My main client's payment system crashed last Friday

They use a platform called Payoneer, and it went down for almost 8 hours right after I submitted an invoice. I had to call my bank to push back a bill payment. Has this happened to anyone with a different payment processor?

Check the fine print in your client's payment terms. Some contracts have clauses that cover delays caused by system outages. Might be worth asking them to cover any late fees you got stuck with.

My last client's contract had a force majeure clause for exactly that.
