I finally understood why my sand molds kept crumbling

I was casting a small decorative piece at home last month. Every time I packed the sand mold, it would crumble when I removed the pattern. I tried adding more binder, but that made it too hard. Then I recalled a chat with a veteran caster about sand moisture. I tested different water amounts until the sand felt just right. The next mold held together perfectly, and my casting came out smooth. It's amazing how such a small detail can fix a big problem. Hope this tip helps someone else with their home projects.

See this everywhere, how the right small touch fixes so many broken things. It's like finding that one spot when a wobbly table leg finally sits flat.

Yeah the "right small touch" thing is real. It's like how when a door sticks you just gotta know exactly where to push. Once you figure that one spot out everything just works.

I read that the right sand moisture is CRUCIAL for a strong mold.
