Had to choose between a new $1200 sand reclaimer or just buying new sand every month. Went with the reclaimer and it's already clogged twice.

That's the worst. Those machines always look good on paper, but the real cost is in the downtime and maintenance. You end up babysitting the thing more than you use it. Sometimes the simple, repeat purchase is just the better call.

Ugh, why does this always happen? The_sean is totally right about the babysitting part. I bought a fancy auto-feed system last year that promised to save me hours, and now I spend more time clearing jams and resetting error codes than I ever did just doing the job by hand. That hidden cost of constant fixes and lost time just kills the whole deal. Sometimes the dumb, simple way is just the right way.
