Neighborhood pear tree got chopped, nobody knew the deal
I've been grabbing pears off that old tree on Maple and 3rd for like 15 years, but the new people who moved in cut it down last Tuesday without asking anyone. These kids keep grabbing apples from the park's crabapple tree and calling them free fruit, but those things are bitter and will wreck your stomach, so someone needs to post a guide on what's actually safe around here. Has anyone else watched a good spot vanish because the owner didn't know the neighborhood depended on it?
