Spent 3 hours trying to get a ribbon to stick to a vase
Had a custom order for a corporate event. Client wanted a specific ribbon wrapped around a glass cylinder vase. Nothing would hold it. Tried floral tape, hot glue, even a dot of super glue. The ribbon just slid right off. Finally found a tiny roll of double-sided craft tape in the back of a drawer. Has anyone else found a better way to attach ribbon to slick glass?

That double-sided tape is a lifesaver for sure. What kind of ribbon was it, like a satin or a grosgrain? I've found some of the really slick, polyester ones are almost impossible without the right adhesive.

Totally agree with you @paulfisher. That slick polyester ribbon is the worst. Had a roll of wide, shiny stuff that just would not stick. Ended up using a crazy amount of that heavy-duty carpet tape, which felt like overkill.
