Rant: I was at the new grocery store in Maplewood and their 'floral department' was just buckets of dyed blue carnations and sad roses.
It made me so mad because they're selling those for $25 a bunch and people who don't know better are going to think that's what fresh, quality flowers look like... how do you even explain to a customer that those aren't natural?

That weird art reminds me of the old laundromat on 5th Street. They had these huge murals of melting clocks painted on the back wall. Always made folding socks feel like some kind of strange dream. The owner said a traveling artist did it for free laundry for a month. Wonder if the same person did the gas station flowers?
