PSA: A tiny drop of clear nail polish stopped my ribbon from fraying during a rush order

I was finishing a dozen corsages for a prom in Albany and the satin ribbon kept unraveling as I cut it. Sealed the ends with polish from my kit and it held perfectly, saved me about 15 minutes of hassle. Anyone have a better trick for this, or is this the go-to?

Sealing them with a glue stick" always seemed like the right move to me, but your polish trick is a total game changer.

Oh man, that's a solid tip! It reminds me of the time I was helping my niece with her science fair volcano. We used cheap felt for the lava flow and the edges were a mess. Ended up sealing them with a glue stick melted with a hair dryer (don't ask) and it sort of worked, but it was a whole thing. Your polish idea seems way smarter and less likely to get glue in your hair.
