I visited a wedding venue in Asheville and their 'rustic' centerpieces were just mason jars with plastic flowers from a dollar store.
Has anyone else had a client ask you to copy a look they saw online that was, well, totally fake?

Been there, that's always a tough conversation.

@logan_white46 nailed it with the timing thing. I'd add that you gotta keep your voice calm too, even if you're lowkey panicking inside. Like, I once sat my partner down on a Saturday morning and just said "Hey, the water bill got shut off notice and I'm trying not to freak out about late fees, can we look at it together?" Keeping it specific to one problem instead of dumping everything at once helps them feel like you're on the same team, not attacking them. It's still hard though, no matter how you slice it.

Yeah, you gotta pick your moment. Don't bring it up when they're stressed about work or right before bed. I found it works better on a slow Sunday, maybe while you're both just doing dishes. Lay out the facts without blame, like "I noticed the rent was late again, and it's making me worry about the fees." Keeps it from feeling like an attack.
