Did my old boss actually know what he was talking about with flower food?
My first boss at a shop in Cleveland told me to always add a tiny splash of bleach to the water in mixed bouquets, not just the flower food packets. I thought he was crazy and ignored it for like 6 months. After throwing out way too many wilted stems on Wednesday mornings, I tried his method and now my arrangements last almost 3 full days longer. Has anyone else gotten a weird tip from an old timer that actually worked better than the standard stuff?
